Does anyone want to go to Museum Collection again? My boyfriend Alec is arranging to go with some of the animators but we need to get the group up to 10 people so that it is worth them opening up the building for us. Maybe it won't rain and snow on us this time! Julia from the Museum Collection will confirm a date with us when we know we have a big enough group.

Hi Rose! has everyone been to the pitt rivers collection in oxford? It's another beauty - I'd say ethnographically far more interesting - anyone fancy a trip??
I was planning to go down to Oxford rather soon to see what it's like as I'm considering moving down there for my PGCE.
So going down there with fellow ameegos sounds groovy!
And no I haven't been Pitt river collections,lol.

I come from Oxford, the Pitt Rivers is fantastic! Lots of weird shit like shrunken heads and bizarre bits and pieces, mostly I remember the shrunken heads though...
hi people! Just checked their website, unfortunately the museum is closed until spring 2009 for renovation! Perhaps we could search for another secret collection??
I have been to the Pitt Rivers museum, I went a couple of years ago, I would've loved to go again soon! It's such a shame about it being closed...
There is the Henry Wellcome Collection in London, it's just near Euston station.
